We’ve been purchasing pre-owned model railways for over a decade and during that time have established ourselves as the first port of call for many satisfied customers looking to re-home their models. But what is it that makes us the best place to sell your model trains?

Well, we’ve seen it all, from the quirky to the everyday and from individual models to large collections where you just don’t know where to start. We’re experts in valuing kit-built as well as ready-to-run models – we’ve yet to find a model that’s left us scratching our heads.

We’re known worldwide as O Gauge specialists, but we buy and sell models of all sizes and nationalities. From N Gauge and OO/HO all the way through to Gauge 1, G Scale and live steam; and from British and European through to Irish and American-outline products, we’re interested in your collection and can always find it a good home. We have an intimate knowledge of products from mainstream manufacturers such as Hornby, Bachmann, Dapol and Heljan as well as continental and high-end model makers including Marklin, Trix, Roco, Lemaco, DJH, Lee Marsh, Golden Age Models, Masterpiece Models – and many more!

We offer market-leading prices, and you’ll always find us friendly, professional and down-to-earth. We travel across the UK (and sometimes internationally) to view larger collections, where listing what you have can seem like an impossible task. Equally, we can provide valuations via phone or email – whatever your circumstances, we’ll work with you to understand your needs.

If you’re looking to sell your models, your first point of contact is our Pre-Owned Manager, Dave Martin. Dave has a wealth of experience together with an encyclopaedic knowledge of all things model railway-related and is an expert valuer with a passion for great customer service.

We can pay for your models with cash, cheque or via bank transfer – either on collection or after you’ve accepted our offer. Alternatively, you may wish to part-exchange your items for some of the thousands of new and pre-owned models we stock. This is particularly useful for those of you wanting to try out a new scale or era of modelling.

I also work closely with my father Andrew (of Andrew Clark Models), who has specialist knowledge of die-cast and tinplate. Andrew buys single items or whole collections of cars, lorries, buses, aeroplanes and tinplate soldiers, as well as a wide range of memorabilia and collectibles from yesteryear.
